Old installers up to latest version

Post by aceridgey »

Hi all,

I've read through all the annnoucements about the new installers, new store page etc. and the manual process to transfer over old orders.

In the meantime before that happens I want to fly this morning with the latest versions. I re-downloaded in the old store my products.

Even without the new updater in my start tray, am I flying the very latest versions of my products?

Kind regards,

Alex

Hi Alex,

Which version of the A2A products are you using? Those for FSX or ones for P3Dv4, P3Dv4 etc?

Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick,

These would be the bundle academic options for P3D (using P3d v4 but I have an option to download fsx ones too).

Kind regards,
Alex

Thanks Alex,

For the P3Dv4 products, you'll need to download the installers from the new store to get the latest versions with the built in updater. Transferring the products and awarding you your 'A2A Flying Hours' loyalty points is a manual process carried out by Lewis once you've filled-in the form, but you shouldn't be waiting too long.

Kind regards,
Nick

Ok Nick, thanks for your reply.

I'll wait patiently and fly another day.

Thanks again

I have FSX Steam with A2A C182 purchased from A2A -

1. When and how do I get the latest update? I did install the 2_4_19 update but no updater?
Do I qualify for the new rain effects?

Hello,

for FSX the latest updater is here;

The rain effects are a part of the P3D products.

thanks,

So I am a happy A2A c182 customer but you are telling me I don't get the new updater and worse no rain effects? If it is a technical reason well ok, but if it is a marketing reason you are telling me you are leaving me behind. Please explain this to me because I want to continue to be a supportive customer. I am willing to pay to get what P3D gets.

I would like to get the automatic updater so I don't need to check monthly. Is that possible?

Rain effects are just not supported in fsx. Older sim with more limitations as far as the graphical capabilities. The lighting isnt anywhere near as good in fsx either.
