I'm just watching a new dvd set i got called the story of the blemheim. only £5 for 3 dvd's and its mostly vets telling there stories, some sad some scary some funny. Heres a funny one.

This one radio op was on ship recon when they found a german tanker and were circling. All of a sudden a ju88 appeared. It spotted the blenheim and starting flashing its morse lights telling the blenheim to go away or they would engage it.
So this bloke starts flashing back with his light and the pilot turns around and says to him "you dont speak german do you?"
to which he replies "no"
so the pilot asks "what are you flashing to him?"
to which this bloke says, "i'm telling them to ?()^ off"

In a war situation its amazing that things such as this took place, funny as hell to hear. he also added it was hard to tell the WAAF at debriefing what had gone on without using the f word.

spitace got them from 'the works' a uk cheap book store chain. There IVL dvd's though. Its not the best picture quality, nor is it a walk through of the blenheim but from what i can tell from the first two dvd's its loads of interviews with blenheim vet's.

:) If you want the pre flight and inflight complete display in the Blenhiem this is just for you,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Flight-of-the-Ble ... dZViewItem

I can recommend that and The Spitfire story and 2 me 109's one summer. :)
Just make sure you get the correct format for you. :)
