I've never got as far as landing the Uhu yet, after around five minutes of flight my frame-rate drops to 1 fps and I lose sound. I don't have this problem with the Thunderbolt or any other add-on plane. Sometimes I lose sound before the lock-up.

Abit NF7-S mobo
Athlon 3000+ @ 2205MHz
1024MB RAM
Geforce 6800GT 256MB RAM (driver 8.1.9.8)
Windows XP SP2
DirectX 9.0c

Anyone else experiencing this or any thoughts on what might be wrong?

No problems at all here. What sound card are you running? Hav you tried isolating the problem by flying with the sound turned off?

1. Is this all models?
2. Are you reloading airplanes alot?
3. Are you alt-tabbing out of FS9 alot?
4. What kind of sound card do you have?

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your responses.

The sound card is a VideoLogic Sonic Fury and seems to be the cause of the problem.

I disabled the card and enabled the mobo's on-board sound chip, I still haven't managed to land the bird but I've just done a patrol from De Kooy AFB in the Netherlands, up the coast to Emden and then across to Hamburg, I stalled and got into a spin while trying an ILS approach in poor visibility. Had sound and 32fps all the way.
