1. AIRCRAFT. Copy main aircraft folders

from FS2004: ..\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\WoP_He219***

to FSX: ..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\WoP_He219***

2. TEXTURE. Copy shared texture files

from FS2004: ..\Flight Simulator 9\Texture

these files:

glass_uhu1.bmp
glass_uhu2.bmp
napis_uhu.bmp
prop_uhu.bmp
radio_uhu.bmp
uhu_glass_t.bmp *)
uhutank.bmp

to FSX (MULTICOPY ALL FILES TO ALL LOCAL AIRCRAFT PAINT SCHEME TEXTURE FOLDERS):

..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\WoP_He219***\texture.**

*) In case you miss this file: http://shockwaveproductions.com/public/uhu_glass_t.zip

3. EFFECTS. Copy *.FX files

from FS2004: ..\Flight Simulator 9\Effects

these files:
fx_wop_vclight_uhu.fx
fx_WOP_strobe.fx
fx_wop_cel.fx

to FSX: ..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Effects

4. GAUGES. Copy *.cab file

from FS2004: ..\Flight Simulator 9\Gauges

this file: wop_he219.cab

to FSX: ..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Gauges

Have fun.

"in game icons"? Do you mean the thumbnails in aircrafts selection screen? If yes, you have to make them yourself or ask the forum members to share their JPGs.

He219 is not going to be officially updated/upgraded to FSX in a near future. This quick "do_it_yourself" guide provides all necessary information how to port this aircraft from FS2004 to FSX in a decent shape.

Personally - Uhu is my pet :) - I would decide to make her as fully native FSX project rather than simple putting in next FS2004 aircraft without taking advantage of all the excellent new FSX stuff like specular and bump maps which makes an aircraft to look and behave as it should in dynamic enviroment. Compare our B17 in FS2004 and FSX if you have a chance - there's no comparison. However we have no free time window for such huge task.

pilot_uhu.bmp
