So I download BF109 yesterday, installed it into FSX & FS9, take a flight in it with FSX all looks OK except for a wrong propeller visual effect. Installed the patch and it all went pear shaped, all the graphics went blurred and couldn't change views without major disruption. I un-install it and reinstall this time without the patch and all is well except for the original prop problem.
Now I try flying it with FS9 and at first glance it looks fine, until I look at an outside view, the video link tells the story. :?

This phenomenon only occurs at certain angles and not with other aircraft.

That is odd, I don't recall every seeing or hearing this one. Have you ever seen this on any other airplane?

Scott.

Hello,

with that error, is it just with the 109? Most strange of I dont think ive ever seen such an error in any MSFS and if I had seen that I would be looking at the scenery rather than the aircraft as it seems the aircraft goes through an 'invisible' object.

Does this happen at any other airports? What other common planes do you fly by chance?

I wonder if this is actually a scenery issue. FSX does some weird stuff when it comes to textures and which SDK things were made with.

I tend to agree, I'll try a reinstall of the scenery and ley you know what happens.

Any thoughts on the prop problem in FSX, as I said I tried the FSX patch but it made it 10 times worse?

I did have a problem with the Spitfire when I first loaded it but can't remember how I solved it

This actually was done with FS9 and I haven't seen it at any other airport or with any other aircraft.

Like I said to Lewis I'll try a reinstall of the scenery before anything else.

Lewis will take care of you. He's far better suited for customer support than I. :) I'm simply in the way at this point. I really need to stop making posts sooo late.

Cheers!

The FSX patch will fix the prop. The FSX patch will only not work if you are running an outdated FSX installation. FSX should be updated to SP2 standard.

FS2002 and FS2004, points to an old scenery package and I guess this would be the issue, in particular if its FS2002 ported to FS2004.

thanks,
Lewis - A2A

Here is a video of the latest saga

It has to be a scenery fault and not the aircraft, which is strange because the scenery has worked fine for several years with no problems.

And by the way I am using FSX Acceleration

Ahh there we go.

FS2004 scenery is not 100% compatible with FSX. You will want to find FSX native scenery for use with the simulation.

thanks,
Lewis
