Love this trip! I haven't flown the B-17 yet, but this is surely evidence that it is something to spend time in!
Do you have a large scale plan for your route, or are you doing it on the spot?

All the Accusim-planes are in my hangar, but they aren't sitting long enough for their engines to cool much before next flight!

It is a really nice plane, and beautiful to look at. Easy to fly so you have time to admire the view and just cruise, if you're not like me and get nervous when all seems to work too well and get paranoid about it I'm still sure she's planning on breaking down over the Pacific
Here's a rough idea where I'm going, subject to change as I get further along

Such an epic trip! Good thing that beast can get some moderately high cruising speeds.
I'm not immune to the fear of problems - I've had a few instances of "automatic rough" in my trip with the Cherokee. I'm sure it isn't that bad with 4 engines?

Well at least I know I can still fly even if one of the engines fail

You will be surprised Medtner, sometimes having engine trouble on finals isn't pretty hehe

Re: B-17G World Tour (@ Singapore)
I have few more legs done for you guys!
Singapore to Jakarta
Taxiing to a cloudy departure, should be clear skies at destination though
Didn't see the city at all on arrival, got a glimpse of it on the way up
Trying to find a way above the cloud cover
Half way there, sky is getting a bit clearer
Turning to final, lot's of traffic here
Parked next to a very jealous looking learjet captain
Next stop at Bali
I'm getting used to early morning departures, but the crew doesn't seem to
In to the grey morning mist
As soon as the sun was up the mist was gone
Volcano Gunung Muria
On final to Bali, never been there irl, but my brother was last summer
Parked, shut down, beers open, heading to beach
Last leg before Australia
Startin number 3, oil pressure rising
Last look at the beach
Gunung Tambora. Wanted to go take a closer look, but didn't want to bust class a airspace so this is the best you get...
¨
Nice view up here
Turning south for the last leg
Sun drops really fast, hope we can make it during daylight
Stared at the sunset for too long and forgot to start descent... had to make a few extra turns to lose altitude
On final
Taxiing to parking. Dat sunset...
Parked, had a quick look at the engines, because #2 seems to eat a little oil. Have to book maintenance to Darwin.
Next up is the Australia tour, and I've been thinking of buying FTX australia... Should I or should I not? After OpenLC the default landclass seems just so bad...

Thanks Lewis!
Speaking of screenshots is there any way to make the viewpoint move faster on the outside views? Now it takes forever to move the camera farther away...
2.3 update made my sunsets look amazing, I guess I have to do more evening flying.

Unfortunately if using the FSX default style camera points then afraid not. Not sure if external products like EZDOK help with this or not, but I know you can roam a little more freely with them.CafeRacer500 wrote: Speaking of screenshots is there any way to make the viewpoint move faster on the outside views? It's part of a worn cockpit pack, you can find it here on the forums... Sorry can't search the link right nowSpamcan51 wrote:how do i get the picture of the woman on the instrument panel.

Re: B-17G World Tour (@ Kupang)
It's a worn/weathered cockpit repaint by community member warbirds if memory serves me correctly.

Re: B-17G World Tour (@ Kupang)
I believe it was Warbirds. He made a couple of worn cockpits for the 17. Here is the thread about adding the pictures to the instrument panel. http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 29&t=27112
