B-17 Engines on when loading FSX
B-17 Engines on when loading FSX
Hello, I seem to have a problem. Whenever I decide to load up FSX to fly my B-17, the engines are on and I have to shut them off and start them manually to make sure that they are started correctly. This isn't that big of a problem, but it does wreck the immersion for me.
Re: B-17 Engines on when loading FSX
You have to save a flight with an FSX standard aircraft (Trike ore something) with engine and systems off as default flight.
After starting FSX with this default you can select complex aircraft and the engines are not running.

I have figured out how to save a flight as default, but I have not figured out how to save it with the engines off.

Re: B-17 Engines on when loading FSX
I have had some bad things happen when changing the default starting flight.
I start the sim with the default, Trike. Set the airport that I will be flying out of. Set the time. Set the weather.
Once loaded, kill the engine, then load the aircraft I want to fly.
With the B17, this loads with the engines off and power on. Then I hit the shift 3 cold and dark.
