When Will the B17 Be Ready for P3Dv4.3?

Post by signmanbob »

Hello,
I just watched "Fortress", the movie and really craved flying my B17 in P3Dv4.3.
I was wondering when it will be ready to join the modern world of 64bit?

Thank you,
Bob

Thank you Lewis. I hope they consider it soon. Till then I'll have to keep FSX Steam on my computer.

Thank you Lewis. The B17 just being on your list is very good.
This particular A2A simulation is a true honor and a most accurate commemoration to all the extremely brave men who lost their precious lives within the ribs of her heavy fuselage.
Many times these aircraft were shot to pieces, yet managed to bring their wounded and bleeding crews back home to safety, On the other hand, many others were so badly damaged in their missions that their doomed crews had plenty of time to realize and understand their dark fate as their crippled aircraft broke up and fell helplessly to the earth.
By bringing this fantastic simulation back into action in P3Dv4, you will renew the memory of this aircraft and her flight crews who were beyond brave in taking on what were almost suicide missions.
I love the great importance that Scott Gentile put on the description of this aircraft simulation in his promo videos. I have to agree with him that this B17 is the most important aircraft simulation made by A2A, that is available to flight simulation enthusiasts today.

Thank you,
Bob

I'm with you on that, Bazonka. I still have FSXSE, but I hardly ever use it. That fortress would be awesome in P3Dv4.

This is too good a product to not be a priority. I'd say its ridiculous that it has not already been made ready for v4 but I dont want to insult anyone. That being said.....not ready for v4? Thats RIDICULOUS!

I agree with you, but they probably decide what to put out first by sales volume and we don't know what enthusiasm was shown for the "B17" when it was released.
I would think it was good, but I also would think that the PMDG MD11 would have sold well, but obviously that is not the case.
I certainly hope that the B17 will be released soon for P3Dv4 but I'm pretty busy and addicted to flying the V35 right now, so I'll be patient.

I had over 2,000 hours in the B-17 by the time I uninstalled FSX-SE in favor of P3Dv4 a couple of weeks ago. For certain, I took some long breaks in-between flights. But I never really got tired of re-creating missions of the 486th BG in Miss B Havin, or just flying around for the simple pleasure of enjoying a sunset accompanied by the unique song of those four radials.
The P-47 I realize is probably gone for good, but I do hope the B-17 is considered worthy of a bump back up into the new platform!
