now on my site for download Duxford Sally B as close as i could get it to look like she is today but the main thing is the front gun placements are different to the real thing but hope you all enjoy flying this one

I think that the inner lettering on "Lassie and her Lads" was black and that the surrounding outlining part was in red as in this picture although another person believes it to be yellow rather than red.This blown up photo was after she crashed and burned at Foggia Main with another crew onbaord her.

thanks skycat glad you like duke the spook it was hard to find stuff on this b-17
as it was called Lucie befor it became duke the spook i think it was worth the time spent on it lol

Jon i think you could be right on the outer being red as it looks to dark to be yellow

this is a commemorative bomber lassie and her lads from the 15th Air Force 463rd bomb group 772nd squadron
requested by Jarmon JR which his dad and his crew flew on 7 missions in ww2.
lassie and her lads met her end On October 11,1944 she was sent up on gunnery practice with a different crew,
2 of her engines had engine problems upon takeoff,caught fire,
the pilot tried to land at a nearby airport and crashed on a highway near a hospital and the ship burned up in the ensuing fire.
Half of the crew died and the other half were injured.
just for days befor this 1st LT James L. Jarmon and his crew who flew in a number of bombers through out the war had sucsessfuly
compleated a 7th bombing mission in this poticular bomber with no damage.
all of this crew as far as i know survived the war and two are still alive today Mr M.Bates and Mr A.Palumbo.
