c1 autopilot will not turn on

Post by Jacques »

Do you have the Accusim B-17 installed? Or just the base pack? (This would have been purchased from the old store site, since the new only sells the accusim aircraft)
I'm asking this because, although I always had the accusim expansion, I couldn't remember if the base pack alone had reduced functionality in the C-1.

c1 autopilot will not turn on

Like Alan said above, just saying you're doing everything by the book isn't the same as detailing exactly what steps you are taking. Everything we suggest, in that case, is just a guess. If you detail every step you take, then maybe the problem will reveal itself. You have all the information and you've told us nothing...so how can we help.

ok here i go step by step of what i do;
once i take off i turn on the unit with the master switch
as per the c1 auto pilot video on you tube i wait the 10 minutes
after 10 minutes i turn on the tell tale light switch no lights come on. which is strange because my is slowly banking to the left.
i even tried turning all the pots full right and left.
i even tried my rudder, elevator, and aileron trim to put out of wack but nothing
and when i turn on all switches i can not turn at all and the plane still goes in a slow left turn
i tried the turn knob and nothing happens i even tried all the way both ways wont turn.
i have no lights come on period.
I have the A2A b17g with the accusim expansion pack.

Just for the sake of clarity, where is your tell-tale light switch?

And thanks for your description- it really does help!

c1 autopilot will not turn on

Try this, on the ground start the aircraft and set the parking brake and normal idle at 1000 RPM.. Press "a" (the letter) several times until you are looking at the c-1. You may need to press the ( - ) key so you can see the complete interface. Flip the Master (and the stabilizer switch its tied to ) to ON. Leave the other switches off. Make sure all three centering adjustments are at zero.
In the same view, now turn on the tell tale lights...some of them should illuminate. If you move your control yoke left and right the lights for the aileron should alternate. Same for the rudder lights as you action left and right rudder. The elevator tell tale light may or may not alternate. Do you see any of this on your end? Don't use the shift+ 9 popup, use the letter "a" to move through the internal aircraft views to the internal C-1.

Well, I’ll say it once more and I’m done: if you don’t detail the steps you have taken nobody can really help you.

Ok so FSX.

Next question, how are you loading into the flight exactly?

And also, what version of FSX are you running?

thanks,
Lewis
