B-17 Prepar3d v4.3 Temp

Post by gibo »

My PC crashed a couple of months ago and I have been painstakingly reinstalling. I have decided not to reinstall FSX as Prepar3d is far superior.

I have read several previous post on running the B-17 in p3d v4 and have installed it as a temporary measure until the v4 model is released, unless of course if A2A have any objection to this use.

This is a beautiful aircraft both real and simulated by A2A.

Here is a short video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wk20ssb ... e=youtu.be

And FSX while we patiently wait the update

I don't think there are switch sounds. The throttles move on Non Accusim version and do not move on Accusim version. Engine manual start good on Non Accusim but Cntrl+E for Accusim.

Otherwise certainly good enough until updated :D

A correction on the throttles. They do not move with my yoke movement but can be moved with mouse.

I am practicing formatuon flying by inserting a small formation using CCP (Carrier and Convoy Planner and following closely to the formation.

I setup a fingertip 4 formation commencing over Dover at 20,000ft and setup my aircraft over same position 5mins earlier so as to settle the aircraft. I found that you can edit the formation spacing and will investigate the possibility of adding aircraft so as to make an authenticate "Box Formation to fly with.

I may have set the AI aircraft too fast as I had trouble catching up with the formation and was well over France when I finally caught up however I started to lose an engine and lost airspeed.

Anyhow, a good challenge for Single Player experience.

Good for FSX and Prepar3d any version :D Damn the aircraft lights. Probably nothing can be done to turn them off as AI
