Hi.
Check you sims key bindings , i dont have parking brake in the sim keys anymore , it is operated via FSUIPC on a switch on my yoke , the park brake message should not flash on/off briefly , it should show while engaged and dissappear when disengaged , it sounds very much like you may have another key or control switch set in FSUIPC as well as in the sim controls/keys conflicting with each other.

Did you check the A2A B17 Configurator to see if something is set there? It's been so long sense I've flown the B17 [come on A2A. Us P3Dv4 users are going into withdrawls] I can't remember if there is brake settings there or not. I think there might be an axis for brakes in there.

Hi WB_FlashOver.
Only thing to do with brakes in the configurator is the HYD pump , you really are missing the B17 .

  Thanks Alan. Yes I do indeed miss my B17.

It sounds to me like there is a control set somewhere. Maybe a sticky key or unknown axis. Maybe even a mouse button. If you release the brakes and they immediately reset then something is doing that. Some control, somewhere.

I hope you sort it out Richard

And the winner is .......

Lewis!

Not sure what it is, but, when I removed FSUIPC it worked as expected.

So, I have to review all of the documentation with FSUIPC. But, now is not the time. It's time to fly.

Thanks everyone for the help!

I suggest try Alan's trick. Open the FSUIPC.INI file and delete all categories referring to the B17. I've seen this before. The best option is to let FSUIPC build and new ini file by removing the current one. The trouble I had was a rudder issue in the P51.

Anyway, glad you're flying again.
