Uninstall question

Post by WarHorse47 »

What might cause an uninstall of the 3D lights?

I have legit purchases of both the FS9 and FSX 3D lights. This morning I discovered all my FSX 3D lights were no longer in the effects directory, so I had to locate my original installer and reinstall the lights.

Within the last few weeks I also acquired the A2A P-47 and Spitfire with Accusim as well as the Accusim package for my A2A P-40. I've also run the latest updater to make sure all is current. Would the updater have any thing to do with uninstalling the lights??

Just curious. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

No idea what would cause this unless you have recently added/removed any FSX service packs or run a repair but even then it wouldn't normally remove any effects files.

Thanks,
Lewis

I think the installer can "disable" the light effects from within certain aircraft packages (172 and 180 ?) to address a loss of click spots within some user's installations. Don't see why that would uninstall your own stand alone package.

No the aircraft are utterly
Separate as they use modelled lights. The 3d lights product was released back in 2005 it's a separate product.
