Is the Cessna faster now? I also have to trimm the airplane extremly down during approach and very difficult to decelerate.

Please tell me "it's ok and this is how the real thing is".

streichholz,

More trim down is correct for the Cessna 172. There is a considerable pitch up with flaps in the Cessna, whereas the opposite is true with the piper (nose goes down with flaps). The Cessna you will land with forward trim, the Piper Cherokee 180 with a lot of aft trim.

Thank you very much Scott. I'm just a bit unfamiliar with the Cessna after the update because of the faster speed (it's a bit tricky to slow the bird down) and the trimm.

Hi John,

The updater didn't touch the Cherokee on my PC so I would say wait for your fiber (or fibre on your side of the Atlantic) connection. ;)

Downloaded and installed today. Overall it was a painless experience for me. All my products were up to date except my P3D C172, which updated fine. Here in South Wales UK, download speeds during installation was as expected, fluctuating between 540KB/sec and 1.5MB/sec.

The only problem I can see, is for people who want to update but have no current Internet connection on their device.

done a clean install of P3D today as getting a bit bogged down with addons so decided to have a cull. Installed p3d v2 then fsuipc then Cessna 172 + patch 1,2,3 then accusim 1.6. I then tried the updater and it says that it needs a native p3d v2 installation of the Cessna 172? what am I doing wrong?
I also noticed that when I went to A2A website to my account, the latest 172 file size is bigger than my original? were the updates included in a new package at some time? if so I would try to dl the program again but it will not let me as it says there are no dl left?

Nice updater A2A! Installed without a problem and I'm currently getting a solid 3.6MB/s download speed.

Are you using the C172 Trainer for P3DV2? If not, you need to install that for P3DV2, then run the new updater. Don't bother with accu-sim v.1.6 before.

I have no current Internet Connection of my fsx, and i was happy with the Core Updates. Is there any other possibility to try the new update without a Autoupdater?

Thank you.

Does that mean no downloadable updates anymore that can be backed up and reinstalled without being dependent on a working internet server/connection and without having to download everything again? If so that would be a huge step back for costumer friendliness.

Jigsaw,

We're in the process of making instructions for those who wish to download the needed updates to a flash drive for flight sims that have no Internet connection. If you like to save updates locally, you could use these instructions to do the same thing.
