I can save Lewis some time here ...
... take a look in [sim root]A2A. You should find folders corresponding to the A2A aircraft you have installed. Inside each, you'll find a BACKUP folder, with all your old aircraft.cfg files in them.

I tend not to just copy them back into their old locations in case A2A made changes of some kind - I just replace the [flightsim.xx] sections with my old ones (I create a backup of the new file first, though - just in case).

I just did it twice, haven't been to this forum for a week or so and now I see yet another one?
I have FSX Gold so now I have to download this latest? Why so many?
What's going on at A2A? Is your QA going downhill?
Long time customer but not happy to have to run an Accu-Sim update so frequently.
Just a shed load of free new updates and content to get out the door now the T-6 is released.

Wow! I don't see the problem. It really doesn't take *that* long - even when you have to re-edit/check the aircraft.cfg files. It's probably way more frustrating to wait months to get an annoying bug fixed!

The more frequent the updates, the better.

Nobody has to run the updates, they are optional.

We developed our update system to allow more frequent, smaller updates. So, if you don't like to download every couple of weeks, then just wait a few months. They are cumulative, so you can update at your convenience.

Hi B-17flyer.
Conversely, you would be moaning like a stuck pig if your B-17 was never update and improved.

You do not have to install updates they are just improvements,if you don't want them don't install them.

Cheers Chris

Hi B-17 Flier,

On my desktop I have a folder labeled A2A Master Files which in which I keep all the folders for each aircraft. I also have a dedicated folder within for Updates. If the zip file for a particular update has been unpacked, I know it has been applied! Makes keeping track of the updates very easy. Not to mention, if you need to re-install for some reason, everything you need is in one place.

Uninstall the 182 and then delete any 182 left over files, restart your system and reinstall + update.

I downloaded it and installed it in FSX last night. No problems.
I keep all the files on my iMac in an A2A folder called updates.
I don't mind doing it, it's just one of the last ones really buggered up all my A2A panes that use the 750. So I had to quit FSX and use the configurator to get it back in them.
THIS update didn't do that, after the update, the GTN750 was still in place.
Very odd.
Don't mind me, it's just I wonder why there are so MANY of them in a row.

Hi guys !

I have the P-51D civilian Mustang. Was running fine with 4-7-16 core update.

Now, I just installed the 4-16-16 core update and had to copy back my repaints into the aircraft config file as all were missing.

Then went to try a flight, and found out the 'heading bug' knob does not turn in response to my mouse scroll wheel and the yellow arrow indicator on the heading dial also does not want to move, hence making it difficult to steer a course in autopilot mode. Anyone know how to fix this ?

Thank-you.
Cheers,
MZee.

A 'good' landing is one from which you can walk away. A 'great' landing is one after which they can use the airplane again.

MZee,

A backup aircraft.cfg is in your [FSX Installed Director]/ A2A folder.

We will be releasing a fix for the heading bug this week.

BTW my autopilot in the Aerostar broke down and has been sent away for repairs, so I've been flying without if for weeks. So we're in the same boat. And my flying has never been better :)
