The AccuSim Update 01_26_2015 installer can't seem to find the C172 Trainer aircraft for me when installed in FSX:Steam Edition. I have purchased 2 separate licenses/installs for the C172 Trainer, one for P3D Professional and one for FSX. The updater found the P3D install and updated it without any issues.

- I only have the Steam edition of FSX installed on this machine. The boxed version has never been installed.
- I have indeed purchased two separate licenses, not trying to get one installer to work in the other. The FSX license was purchased on May 1, 2014 from FSPilotShop.com. The P3D Pro license was purchased from PCAviator.com on 2/24/2015.

Still getting awful download speeds with the updater - it hovers around the 20-30 KB/s mark which means it takes a long time to download the hundreds of megabytes required.

I tried both with my wired (fiber) Internet - With SpeedTest.net I usually get around 110-115 megabit/s - when I download files I usually get around 10 - 11 megabytes per second. However the A2A updater only downloads at around 30 kilobytes/s.

So I tried using my phone as a modem via USB, which means a completely different connection and ISP. SpeedTest.net = 21 megabits/s - A2A updater still only ~30 kilobytes/s.

I just updated. No problem with updating, that went fine. When I opened FSX I got this message: "Aircraft initialization failure." The result of this is all my custom paints show no plane whatsoever. Just a big hole in the air where the C172 should be. When I tried one of the default paints, I was asked if I trust A2A and the dll file. I said yes but when I got to the plane, it seemed my custom eyepoint was gone. That leads me to believe many other parameters I changed have disappeared too.

I really don't know where to begin fixing this, though no doubt, if I take enough time I will put it back together.

For now, wtf happened?

Edit: Okay looks like I was smart enough (just barely!) to back up everything so I was able to put it back together fairly quickly. Still, this shouldn't happen. Seems like a make work project.

Hello,

the backup is created during installation/update, we recommend reading the on screen messages and not just clicking next next finish, as you will miss information such as this.

It seems that there are some negative values, especially, when youre taxiing with or against the wind. Don't know if this will cause also wrong values in flight?

As Oracle and Taildragger have stated, I too have gotten the 404 error and not an update to the Cherokee.
