just wanted to know I have been trying out AIflightplanner and using the p-47 as AI traffic.....how does the acusim work if any when used as traffic?
Do I need to edit anything? I'd like to have a nice bunch of AI traffic ( from A2A ) while flying either my p-47 or my spitfire ( both WOP3 )
but would still like the true engine sounds and other sounds you have worked so hard to put in these planes.
What do you think and any guides for making things alittle easier for me to have what I'm looking for
thanks
also any new WWII projects ?
Glenn.

I should think there would be no problem using any aircraft. I also us AIFP. It should just be a matter of getting the desired aircraft saved in the aircraft.txt file. Myself, I am enjoying the A2A/Shockwave Wings of Power 2 WW2 Fighters box set, and the Jets and Bombers box set, but both are out of production. I use those older models because they are less complicated and won't bog my system down. I specifically look for old FS2004 models, preferrably without a VC, to use only as AI aircraft for my traffic.BGL. They make nice eye candy without a big hit on my computer. I'm not sure you would benefit from using accu-sim aircraft as AI traffic. The better sound would be nice up close, but they are complicated models to have filling up your skies. Just a thought...

John

thanks never thought it like that...
I'll tryout some fs9 planes for ai traffic as you have and see what happens.
I know my wop3 spitfire doesn't like to be used as ai as I get the fsx has encountered a problem and needs to restart only when its used.....
old planes it is for now I guess...thanks
Glenn.

Something to watch for:

Notice the Me-262 is undersized compared with the Zero and 110. Simpler models are smaller and lower res textures. I need to swap this 262 with something else.

thanks guys
I'll keep it in mind that the free wwII planes or " simplier " designed would be a better choice for using as AI.
thanks again...
If any AI programs such and the mytraffic ideas come up I'd be interested....one installer makes it so much easier.
Glenn.

Glenn,

Ian's "Camp Banjo" scenery has a traffic file with it for the A2A P47. http://ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/node/26
I'm not sure anyone has gotten the Accusim Spitfire or B-17G to work properly as AI, but the P47 works quite well.
