Firstly I just wanted to say how much I am enjoying this bird. I have owned it for quite some time but never really got into it until now, and it has me hooked!

I was hoping someone would be kind enough to set me straight on a few questions I have regarding the P-47.

1) With the aircraft in a cold dark state when I turn on the battery, the low fuel pressure light does not illuminate. I can manually switch it on however using the test switch so it does work. I would have thought this light would illuminate when ever the fuel pressure was below the green arc?

2) When a tank runs dry as long as the prop continues to windmill the fuel pressure doesn't seem to fall. What causes this? I had assumed that even though the pump is engine driven and therefor still pumping when the prop is windmilling, the pressure would fall as there is no supply to it.

3) And finally this last question is as a result of me running out of fuel on approach and failing to diagnose that as the fault  . When the prop is windmilling it is turning the engine. So why does moving the throttle have no effect on manifold pressure? I would have assumed that as I closed or opened the throttle with the prop windmilling i would have still seen a corresponding change in manifold pressure.

Thanks in advance.

What does one have to do to get tech support around here? Happy to supply proof of purchase if required...

There is definitely something wrong with my aircraft. When the drop tanks run dry the fuel pressure increases

When the drop tanks on my P-40 run dry the pressure decreases, which one would expect.

Reinstalling doesn't make a difference.

Sideshow,

Those are three reasons why we created our core Accu-Sim. You are speaking about pretty deep systems modeling, all of which is not supported in FSX, but they are supported in the core accusim birds (Spitfire, P-40, P-51).

The P-47 goes deep in many areas, but just not this deep.

Scott.

Thanks Scott, understood. Even if its accusim is not quite as complex as the core accusim birds I just love the P-47. There's something addictive about all that horsepower!
