Hi guys,

I bought the P-47 with Accusim a few days back and I'm excited and fascinated by the flightmodel, sounds, etc.

However, unfortunately I experience massive frame drops in the cockpit view when there is a serious malfunction with the airplane.

Yesterday while still learning the engine management, the supercharger and the hydraulics pump broke.
Almost instantly my frames dropped to 5-10 FPS.
Today I deliberately overheated the engine until it caught fire, again zero hydraulics pressure and immediate frame drop.
Ultimately, FSX dropps to almost 0 FPS showing a message:

FSX event system failure, some Razorback functions will be disabled. Please restart FSX

But only in the cockpit perspective, using the external cameras my frames rise to normal level, which is capped at 35 FPS.
I found out that when I pause the game, the frames also climb to a normal level.

Maybe somebody here has a clue, what's wrong.

Thanks in advance,

sharks

System specs:

Intel i5 2500k @ 3.3 Ghz
Geforce GTX 460 /w 768MB (Driver version 290.36)
8 GB RAM
WD 640GB Harddrive

Windows 7 64bit
FSX Gold
A2A P-47 with Accusim patched to 1.11

FSX, the plane and the patches were installed with admin rights.

Edit:

I'm reinstalling FSX and P-47 Accusim right now and will try this hint I found:
viewtopic.php?f=37&t=12459#p156711

Edit 2:
Ok, it has definately something to do with the Accusim expansion, whenever I encounter the stutters and disable Accusim via the ingame menu (Shift-3) the frames stabilize on a normal level.

I think it might have something to do with the sounds, because the sound of the breaking and the broken turbocharger keeps playing even if the engine already died.
The sound keeps playing even if I overhaul the engine. It's also hearable in the external cameras.

What is your sound card? Is it creative and are your drivers up to date etc?

Hi Lewis,

Ah, I knew I forgot something. ;)
I use the onboard soundcard (Nvidia HD Audio) and the driver date is November 9th 2011, I couldn't find any newer driver so I think it is up to date.

Edit:
The onboard sound is a Realtek chipset which I updated today (Version 2.67 / Date December 13th 2011)
Unfortunately that didn't cure my problem.
I made a video depicting my problem a bit further:

You're not the only one having problems with the P47.
I had to delete some of the sounds related to rolling on ground, because each time the Accusim module would trigger them, there would be a big stutter, making takeoffs and landings a real pain.
I guess the failure triggers some specific sounds that is having the same negative effect on your frames.
I wish the usage of sound cards by old Accusim modules would get improved.

Ok, it's definately the Accusim add-on. It seems to flood FSX with sounds, events or whatever.
I tried several older sound drivers, deactivated the onboard sound but no luck.
Quite disappointing.
