Couple of questions...

Post by danb12 »

Hi,

I think I'm going to buy the cub tomorrow... I'm hoping to use it to help my real world flying (learning in a Tiger Moth!) Are you able to use a radio in it so I can go on Vatsim with it?

Also, are there any l4 grasshopper paints for it? I have had a look but didn't see anything that jumped out!

***edit*** I have located one of Ron's brilliant paints of this in exactly the colours I wanted!

Thanks
Dan

Hi Dan,

The Cub comes with a handheld radio. So yes you'll be able to communicate but no modern day equipment other than the handheld. No transponder or radio navigation.

Just like the Super Cub I fly in RL. But to be honest. It doesn't need any thing more.

Take care

don't forget to put the J3/X in the aircraft equipment code. This should tell VATSIM controllers, you don't have a transponder. I fly all my warbirds on VATSIM and normally they don't ask me to change the squawk kode
Kind Regards

Well, I have done one very quick circuit (although not quick speed wise... Haha!) I have to say this plane is awesome! Why have I only just bought it?! I have all bar a couple of aircraft a2a do... this is right up there! Shame there is no full maintenance hangar but that doesn't bother me enough not to fly this super little plane!!

Thanks again A2A!
