She had no CCIP. She had no bombing sights. How did she do it? Any P-51D bombing manuals guys?

Best way to put it, dive, release and hope you'd hit the target. The A-36 was the dive "bomber" of the series of P-51's

Like any fighter bomber of the day mostly just practice practice practice using basic skip bombing etc techniques.

Correct altitude, speed, dive angle, and "aim-off point"... very "hands on" approach :)

The best I can do is direct you to Andy Bush articles on SimHQ:

Part 3

There are manuals for bombing and strafing with needed data for P-51, but I don't have it yet - the only available versions I saw were in paper, ant that's vintage-priced stuff ;)
