Well, I thought it was fixed. :? I lost the sound a few more times, and fiddling with the volume slider didn't work. I can get it to work by reloading the Cub, though. It's kind of annoying, but I guess I'll have to get used to it.

Are the rest of you who were experiencing this problem before still experiencing it?

Problem solved! My PC was getting overloaded. I read an article in another forum about how to increase your FPS, and when I tried it, it tripled my FPS. That took some of the workload off my PC, and now the sounds don't disappear.

Hi, I've been having problems with sound crackle while flying any accusim plane and I think I've found a solution. I went to control panel, sound and made sure that everything that I wasn't using was disabled. Then I selected the sound device that I'm using and selected the properties button, on the advanced tab, in the exclusive section I unticked the box next to "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device". I next rebooted my PC and flew for over 3 hours in varying settings from downtown Los Angeles to mountain flying west of Denver without once having a sound crackle or a disturbance of any kind. I am using windows 7 and fsx sp2 without accleration. I don't know if this will help anyone else or not but I thought I'd put it out there for a try anyway.

I have gotten the accu-sim sounds cutting out lately now. I have my autogen sliders up a bit more than in the past and am flying over Orbx FTX Australia. Fiddling with the sound volume in shift+3 has gotten the sounds back but multiple sound outages on the same flight occur. Has it been pretty much settled that pushing the computer's performance is the culprit here and not some bug with the Cub itself?
