Hi I'm a new member.
I've placed the a2a Piper cub in my new P3d V4 and it works fine except that the engine stops after 30 seconds or so. Are there any suggestions for a cure?
Thanks
Geejo

Hello,

Do you use the Cub from FSX version or is the Cub available now for P3D v.4 ?

Because as you, I would like to jump again in this nice Piper cub on P3D.

But if you are using the FSX version on P3D, it seems normal to get some wrong behavior. Don't expect for a fix in this case.

Cheers

Hello,

the current Accu-sim Cub will not work in P3D, its FSX software.

thanks,

Turn automixture off in game options.

Read the manual? :)

Let us know if you get it working in P3D version 4.x

Hey there.

Yes from what I've seen the engine will run out of gas after the fuel bowl runs out in the carb if gas is not on.

As well as the learning talked about above in settings.

I learned the above from watching youtube.

Also, I own a 65HP J3C-65 Cub, I'm a long time A&P I.A. and commercial pilot and I will say that I never ever ever turn off the fuel valve in my Cub other than if I had to crash land. The reason is you don't want to forget no matter how many times going over a check list. but more importantly I don't want to wear out the seal in the valve on the bottom of the gas tank.

But I have another question. I used to help with the Fine Airlines DC-8 capturing data years ago on FS2000. Just now getting back into sim world. I own a T-6 and the Cub and a one off aluminum winged Skybolt.

I would like to get P3D and don't have FSX but would like to fly the 65 Cub in P3D and the T-6. I also live on 3J6 Folkston Davis Field which is a 2500 ft paved field 25 northwest of KJAX. A lot of people make the circuit through here to practice grass field landing at Hilliard 01J ten miles sout and here on the 2500 ft paved for short field. One guy on youtube was practicing MilVis 310R short field on 3J6 but he didn't mention what platform he was on FSX or P3D and the platform had most of the hangars and trees here on the 3J6 and I would like to do all the above. I would even take digital pictures form gorund and above here at 3J6 if they could be rendered.

So can anyone comment how to get that scenery just specific to my local area and be able to run the 65hp Cub and T-6 here? It would be even cooler to open up the door to my own hanagr and store them there.

I have not downloaded anything yet P3D or FSX just want to do it right.

Will the AccuSim Cub be converted for use in P3D v4.4?
