I love this aircraft! having read many accounts of fighter pilots before, during and after WW2. There is one thig that was mentioned again and again which I don't see modelled in the accusim Spit.... Exhaust flames. pilots used to speak of the flames that shot out of the exhaust on start and also how they used to have 'blinkers' fitted in front on the canopy (or behind the exhaust) to cut out the brightness of the exhaust flames when flying at night or early morning/ dusk time.
Would this be difficult to model? Or if anyone from the dev team could answer....Will it me modelled?

Thanks :)

Low rpm "popping" flames can be seen (run at less than 1000rpm and you will see them) but there is a hard limit on the number of "effects" that can be used in FSX and my understanding is that at present all of the maximum number is used up with black smoke, white smoke, blue smoke, coolant boil etc.

I have a very nice chart describing what each cloured flame means (they are used by good pilots to spot problems such as rich/lean etc) and I did ask for that to be added but it was not possible.

Also note, once started and running properly the flames are all but invisible unless it is dark.
