What happened to the Spit Mk V? I've been away for quite some time and have missed the release of the P40 and P51 (which I will be getting when I get a new computer), haven't done any flying since October last year, bloody awfull.

So other than that, what have I missed?

Just the P-40, P-51 and core updates :-) and a heap of P-51 repaints

I thought I had it bad! I've been out of FSX since March... busted up video card... and I'm going to order a new PC in the next couple of days as soon as I get my mind made up. At least the " shakes " have stopped.

We're not sure if a MkV is going to make it out any time soon. There are so many commitments we have on our plate at present, the SpitV is sort of hanging on the back burner. As with any development, things can change rapidly.

Scott.

Disappointing news about the MkV.  I only have one request for when it does appear and that is that the model has the environment reflection mapping enabled like the B17 & P51 so that we can get some cool reflective metal finishes on the old girl!  Even the cra**y default aircraft can be shined up!  It only takes ticks in two FSX texture boxes before MDL export!

Hi FlameOut
"busted up video card"

Why don't you just buy a new Graphics Card? I replace mine every second year, it will speed up your old computer and save you a lot of hard earned cash.

I'm also waiting for the mkV, it's now highest on the list of long awaited add-ons!!!!

M. Jordan.

Hello mkjordan, I did not put enough info about this old PC ... I'm still using a Pentium 4 with HT, 2 GB ram, and the old nVidia 8800 GT 512 MB

It's time I come out to play with the big boys!
Part of my new system build arrived yesterday:

Windows 7 Premium 64-bit

THERMALTAKE ARMOUR VH6000 CASE

Intel Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition Sandy Bridge-E 3.3GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 2011 130W Six-Core Desktop Processor

ASUS P9X79 PRO LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with USB BIOS

CORSAIR DOMINATOR GT 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 QUAD CHANNEL Desktop Memory Model CMT16GX3M4X2133C9

GIGABYTE GV-N680OC-2GD GeForce GTX 680 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

CORSAIR H100 (CWCH100) Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

1TB SATA3 - 6gb/sec 7200RPM (64MB Cache) Hard Drive

12x Blue-Ray Writer/DVD/CD READ & WRITE Drive (Sata)

1 car dreader-int All In One Internal Card Reader (Black)

850W POWER SUPPLY

That ought to kick FSX in the "teabags", especially when I venture into overclocking.

Hi FlameOut,
Wow! thats some machine you've got there! you made the right decision. I don't know how you managed with 2 GB Ram, my system sometimes finds 8 GB Ram barely enough  still with quad core 4 X 2.5 GHz it's still worth another Graphics card or two before I invest in a new PC.
I don't need to wish you fun with your new PC 'cos I know you will have! Let's hope you can fly an A2A mkV on it soon.

Happy flights
M. Jordan.

So if the mark V comes out it will be after the Ga aircraft and the 104 and the F-4 my question is what's after the F-4 the Mark V (perhaps a P-38 or 109)
