Re: Getting desperate now.
You could get the one I did for the A2A Mk I/II off my site. Just follow the link in my signature. The one pictured above is the FSX Mk V from Just Flight, which seems to work in P3D v4.geopetlas wrote:I like! Robert Stanford Tuck's spit. Is this repaint available???

Edit: Searching for "Tuck" at AVSIM should also turn up both paints I uploaded there. Both for the A2A Spitfire and both at my site.

You are welcome.
Perhaps one day, A2A will finally release the Mk V they have had on hold for several years.

And with any luck, the MKIX they are doing for the Boultbee Flight Academy as well!
Cheers

Nah. It'll never happen.
I hope I'm proven wrong though.

Re: Getting desperate now.
Boultbee is a VERY specific requirement. It wouldn't be as simple as just re-boxing it for general consumption.
We can always hope though. For mine, I'd much rather see a V than the IX. The IX is heavier, simpler to fly and manage
and Tony Bianchi always expressed a mild disdain for it!
Right NOW, I'd just settle for finishing the V4 Spit I/II

Absolutely. Otherwise I just wasted £150 on my P3D 3 > 4 'upgrade'. Just my opinion of course.Killratio wrote:Right NOW, I'd just settle for finishing the V4 Spit I/II

Steve,
When you fly the P3D V4 Spitfire I/II I think you will find the investment worth it .

Re: Getting desperate now.
Darryl,
Yeah. The announcement of the new v4 A2A Warbirds was the main reason for me to upgrade to 64 bit. I had a refund for FSW on the strength of it. I have to admit though, there are other aircraft I enjoy flying in v4 and it's been a real pleasure so far.

Re: Getting desperate now.
The MkV would be a great addition to the A2A fleet. It retains the lightness of the Mk I and II, has a better roll rate and two speed supercharging. The variants are huge. Tropical filters, clipped wings, various size drop tanks, different gun configurations, different engine supercharging configurations, and it was used everywhere and by numerous air forces. It's got to be the version to have.
Yes, I know the MkIX is faster, but not by much at low altitude which I guess is where most of us fly the Spitfire. Alas I don't believe it will happen, but as I said above, I'd love to be proven wrong.
Cheers,
Mike
ps. This is where Lewis chips in and says "No plans for a Spitfire V at the moment."

A cloudy day for a spin. A nice shot but still, there's something not quite right with this picture.
