Unfortunately new recording setup is adding a bit of stuttering to recordings that I don’t see in sim. Working on that!

Re: VIDEO : Spitfire from RAF Lossiemouth to Glenforsa
Great video!
That U/C Down circuit was perplexing...and I notice it also stayed "dark" when you dropped the gear for landing.
I'd be boxing my Instrument Fitter around the ears for not checking the function in the first instance. Did you check the Maint Hangar after?
Since fuses aren't simulated (almost impossible to change them in the air in any case!) the most likely cause in the sim would be a damaged
U/C lock. Given that, take-off was brave. I half expected to see a gear collapse while taxiing.
But you got off fine (very nice takeoff by the way, you've got her beat now!). .I probably would have given my aircraft a bit of a shake after I dropped the gear
to see if I could get a down indication but then again, that may have damaged the lock further!
I admit though that after my little escapade with the high oil temp/jammed gear, I am VERY mindful of the U/C Indicator
Give the uncertain gear position, your "enthusiastic" landing would, I am sure, be praised by Sir Humphrey as being "courageous"
Brilliant video!
regards
Darryl

Cheers Darryl!
Yes in hindsight I was probably a bit blase about the U/C indicator. I had good indicator pins on the wing so assumed was a glitch though could have been something else and that thump of a landing could have turned it into a vintage ride on lawnmower. Odd thing was the ‘up’ was working and after landing everything was good in maintainence hanger. Took her up again last night and both lights serviceable!
It’s things like this that make these accu-sim aircraft so interesting to fly.

Yes, great, isn't it? Each flight can bring up little quirks that can make the flight different to any other.Dreamsofwings wrote:Cheers Darryl!

Combine Accusim and real time, real world weather and everything becomes "intense" at times.
The "White Smoke" flight I wrote up on the forum, (with a combination of mystery smoke and jungle below) and your U/C incident are experiences that you just can't get in the vast majority of FSX/P3D aircraft.
Keep the videos coming Mate, always a great watch!
