I recently upgraded my PC and re-installed my spit with accu-sim and my WOP p-51. I installed, in order, FSX-Acceleration, spit, accu sim, core update 1.4 then my WOP 51, The spits change to a2a from supermarine so go to the top of the selection with the core update but when I fly the shift+# commands don't work, there is a momentary flash on the screen the first time I press any shift # combo but nothing stays on screen, the planes look and handle as before but I am unable to repair or replenish them. also the WOP 51 shows in the preview window as a textureless grey model and if selected for flight is a bad clipping nightmare, ie; no graphics, see through parts and black panels, I installed all from a backup from my old PC, I am running a high end intel core i7 system with AMD hd6870 1 gb card with direct x 10 checked in FSX on ultra high settings, I attempted changing various graphical\resolution settings to no avail, I have my dxdiag readout if that helps I cant attach it as a .txt doc so if you want me to email it I will, just say where icy out.

"Icy"

Some of those symptoms sound very like what happens when Aceleration is not installed..but not quite. If the following does not fix it, I'd try to reinstall Acceleration...BUT FIRST:

Other symptoms sound like graphics settings. If you "imported" your old FSX.cfg to the new computer there are perhaps some tweeks that you had on the old computer? The reason I ask is that some tweeks that will make an old machine absolutely "hum" will turn an i7 or i9 into a crippled, stuttering mess...I've had this experience myself and it took me an age to find the problem tweeks (IIRC bufferpools was the main offender).

So before resorting to reinstalls, try a "cean" fsx.cfg.

If that does not work, then I would completely uninstall AND delete all A2A files (the uninstall leaves some in "documents") Then reinstall.

Let us know how you go,

regards

Darryl

tried all manner of seperate measures, unfortunately :( none worked. finally just wiped everything that said fsx off my pc and did full re-install, it must have been some cfg from my old pc cause clean install fixed the problem, I wish I could have I D'd the actual culprit but the chance of many folks repeating it are hopefully slim, good news is now I can enjoy my A2A Spitfires in glorious 1920x1080 @ ultra settings :D bad news I will post on the p-51 support board, Icy out.
