I made a list of possible problems, it is on the page 5 of the "possible bug" threat, this bug is included.

Also i sent a message to Mr. Scott, with the same list, so it wouldn't get lost on the forums.

I reported the very same bug on page 2 of the same thread. viewtopic.php?f=78&t=26976&start=15#p207162

It was present with v1.1 (don't remember whether v1.0 as well) but it's not more prominent than ever with v1.2 due to increased likelyhood of failing to start it with first try. Yeah, I got the "one-legged dwarf" explanation for that bug back then as well...

Indeed, the ver 1.0 had that problem too, well, maybe this time...

Also i wouldn't say that the primer is a minor problem, its an error in a fuel delivery system, which is strange in such a simulation, but as said i can live with that as well...

Caldemeyn,

Let me get this straight (since there are a lot of long posts in this thread)...

You are simply complaining because you can't use the primer with the fuel cocks off, when in reality the primer would work without them? That is it? On the engine start checklist, fuel cocks most certainly are turned on before the engine is primed, so if you are operating the Spitfire correctly this shouldn't be a problem. (yes I know it is nice to be able to do things realistically, even if prohibited by the mauals.) I understand we want everything to be as perfect as possible, but this is such a minor little thing to worry about. As stated in an earlier post, a Spitfire wouldn't have been started on the primer in reality, especially since most pilots take their checklists quite seriously.

As for the pneumatic bug Whiic pointed out, that does sound to me more like a bug (whereas the primer was a concious decision as Scott stated), although personally I've not noticed it (and I'm lucky enough to be able to start my Spitfire always on the first try). So to me at least, its not a big deal.

We sometimes forget just how lucky we are to have such a wonderful functioning work of art such as Accu-sim, and I for one can't imagine the headaches A2A must get trying to get all the little systems to not only work correctly, but to interact with each other correctly to get a damn near perfect result!

Joe

For me it is strange, that in a study sim, like the spitfire is, things are not made by the blueprints, there should be no such thing from the start, also, have you read, how the plane is described on the store page ? : "Fuel delivery system simulated", ''Primer system modeled.'', so i, in my naivety  expect it to be made like it should, if not then "im not happy" there are no "Im so lucky" feelings at all, especially if after posting the issue i see i shouldn't expect it to be repaired, becouse it was a "decision", of how many "decisions" we don't know ? also, its not the only problem with the spit at present.

But as said earlier, i can't do anything in my position, so i can live with that, and fly the plane with joy, even if it won't hit the ceiling. 8)

What's funny, that in the version 1.0 the primer worked like it should. 8)
