I had a couple of failed starts recently and found when I reloaded a cartridge it would fire immediately. This also happened when I refilled the carts in the Sht+4 replenishment screen. I then noticed that unless I clicked the start button a second time it remained activated. I may be mis-remembering but I seem to recall that this used to work as a normal push button on the II?

Not a big problem but just wondering if this is normal.

Cheers

If im not mistaken, it was made like this to reduce the workload, so you would not face a situation, where you would need to hold two different buttons with the mouse to start the engine, which is impossible.

But, if i remember correctly, there is a simple solution for this, assign the starter button to any key on your keyboard or joystick with the provided input configurator , and it will behave like a spring-loaded button (if you release the key, it will pop into off positon on its own in the sim.)

That makes sense for the Mk1 with the electric starter but in the MkII it's a one shot firing button so in that sense you end up with the unwanted behaviour I describe. Assigning the button with the configurator sounds like a good workaround, thanks.
