Post by Paughco »

Guys: Are we going to continue our Hump flight next Sunday? Mustangs? Connies?

I think that's the plan. I'll be there with my Connie.

Got it. I'll be there in the Connie. Hope those guys guarding the poppy fields don't have SAMs.

Addendum: I think I figured out the problem I was having with tuning the ILS signal. There are two airports with the code ZPPP in China. The original one, Kunming Wajiba is described here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kunming_W ... al_Airport. This one was used by the Flying Tigers back in the day. The new ZPPP is Kunming Changsui: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kunming_C ... al_Airport.

You get three choices for map display in Little Nav Map: 1) Use Navigraph for all features, 2) Use Navigraph for navaids and procedures, and 3) Do not use Navigraph. One of those options shows the old airport, and another option shows the new airport. We all landed at the old airport. I'm not sure which airport (and ILS frequencies and bearings) is used in P3D. I think it's not the one I was trying to land at, so the ILS freqs were wrong. I'm not at my main computer now, or I'd fire up P3D and check.
