I have a feeling #6 will be my default aircraft for a while. Great job as always!

They look sweet. Fictional?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curtiss_P-40_Warhawk wrote:French Air Force

An early order came from the French Armée de l'Air, which was already operating P-36s. The Armée de l'Air ordered 140 as the Hawk 81A-1 but the French military had been defeated before the aircraft had left the factory, consequently, the aircraft were diverted to British and Commonwealth service (as the Tomahawk I), in some cases complete with metric flight instruments.

In late 1942, as French forces in North Africa split from the Vichy government to side with the Allies, U.S. forces transferred P-40Fs from 33rd FG to the GC II/5, a squadron that was historically associated with the Lafayette Escadrille. GC II/5 used its P-40Fs and Ls in combat in Tunisia and, later, for patrol duty off the Mediterranean coast until mid-1944 when they were replaced by Republic Thunderbolt P-47Ds.
Still, looks awesome.

look great, fictional or otherwise.

(Wiic although correct on this case trusting wikipedia as a reliable source is akin to trusting Hitler in 1937. Always try and go beyond the wiki links when googleling.  )

indeed they are fictional, as Lafayette only flew F's and L's. I tried to stay as close to real as I could though, by painting aircraft that in reality were short-tailed versions of the P-40F, so roughly speaking apart from the front of the nose, these paints give you a good idea what the aircraft looked like in the war.
Unfortunately there is no decent late model P-40 on the market, so we'll have to make do, paintwise, with the outstanding A2A model...

ah, I forgot to mention that you can now download them on OZx...

number 6 and number 11

enjoy them

The links to aussiex.org files are relevant only for the number, such as 2360 and 2361. Thus:
/file/2360-a2a-p-40c-wop3-free-french-air-force-6/ and /file/2360-a2a-p-40c-wop3-free-french-air-force-11/
...are exactly the same link. 2360-a2a-p-40c-wop3-free-french-air-force-11 redirects to 2360-a2a-p-40c-wop3-free-french-air-force-6

A working link to #11 would have 2361 at the beginning:
http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/fil ... -force-11/
