Accu-Feel and Virtual Flight Training - Newbie Alert

I am new to FSX but have been flying combat sims since the old days (Dawn Patrol on a 386 was my first, currently Cliffs of Dover on full real settings). From what I have been reading in the Accu-Sims forums that is bit like saying 'I have driven the Go-Carts at the fair so I think I should try some NASCAR driving next!' I think I should run through some of the flight training to unlearn some bad habits first.

First Newbie question - If I add Acc-Feel but DO NOT have the Piper Cub Wings of Silver/Accu-Sim model will the Accu-Feel have a default setting or will it still be turned off by default as this is an Accu-Sim offering?

Second Newbie question - Will Accu-Feel help or hinder my learning as a virtual pilot when going through the stock FSX training missions and the Flight Simulator X for Pilots - Real World Training missions?

For information I am using the Thrustmaster Warthog flight controls with Saitek pedals and Track IR and I have been flying the planes in Cliffs of Dover on full real for a while now and want to step up the realism as high as I can thus the move to FSX and here.

I have more questions specifically about the Cub Accu-Sim which I will post in the appropriate thread.

Hello,

Accu-feel is just a hint of a full Accu-sim experience, but it can be applied to all fixed wing aircraft.

thanks,

Thanks for the reply.

I have now got Accu-Feel and have just gone for a few hours of flying in various planes and conditions. This is a great enhancement to the sim!

In answer to my own question, if I was brand new to flight sims this addition would hinder my learning on any weather setting but clear and calm. Having some experience in other flying games this is very good learning tool. The take offs, flying and landing are much more hands on and engaging even when well trimmed.

Thanks for this, worth every penny. Now I am very eager for an Accu-Sim plane! In next month's budget!
