Problem installing in steam

Post by Warbirds »

I cannot seem to get this to work with the Steam version. I have all the accufeel downloads and updates and I select the fsx folder in steam/apps/common and I have all the simconnects installed but when I go into fsx there is no accufeel addon.

When installing in steam you must have administration rights.
Have you restarted your computer?

Hello,

here is the FAQ for v2;
http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 89&t=33313

Install order;
Accu-feel v2
Update v2.091
(Simconnect as noted in the Steam install FAQ may also be required)

A system restart after installation is recommended.

It sounds like you need to check your dll.xml file.

thanks,
Lewis

Thanks Lewis I was installing all the old files as well (org accufeel and update 1 plus the new files 2 and update) but the problem is the XLM file. It puts all the launch files in the old FSX folder (users/app/roaming/microsoft/fsx) instead of the new folder FXSSE. I somehow have to get an XLM editor and add the launch files from the old XLM to the new SE XML but not sure why I would have to do that. Others seem to install this and it works so it must install the dll to the correct XML?

You can use notepad to edit the xml file.Note they are XML files not xlm files.

Thanks but the real question is why do I have to when no one else with Steam version does?

Although I do not have steam,my installation is FSX acceleration,From the feedback on the forum to me is that steam is not a very stable platform.

I base this on the problemns on the forum and the low price of the steam edition
