I run FSX aircraft sounds through speakers and ATC through an USB headset. I can't get the Accu-Feel sounds to play through the speakers, the sounds play through the ATC headset. Have reinstalled with the headset unplugged. It works great without the headset, but then when I plug it in the sounds are transferred to the headset. I can't find a config file for the Accu-Feel. I have also looked in the FSX folders for answers.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

what is your default audio device when you connect the headset? You can check it by right clicking on the speaker icon in windows tray and choosing playback devices. Accu-Feel plays sounds on the default audio device, which I suspect changes to your headset when you plug it in.

Any time I plug/unplug an audio device my FSX SOUND settings revert to "default" device and must be reset. Otherwise all sounds will come over one (or both, not sure) device. I have one external soundcard for voice and another for all other sounds. Sometimes they are reset to default via some mysterious process known only to PC gnomes.

I'm having a similar problem -- in my case, though, I cannot seem to force all of the Accu-Feel sounds to play through my speakers. Some sounds play through my speakers and some play through my headset.

I need to remove any sounds but voice from my headset because I fly on the pilotedge network -- the headset needs to be free for voice comms and right now there are a lot of other Accu-Feel sounds coming over the headset.

I'm quite familiar with the problem of FSX resetting sounds to be on the "default" device at whim (unplugging and plugging in any USB device will reset it, for example). The problem I'm seeing is AFTER I've specifically gone into "Setup/Sound" and placed environmental sounds on speakers and voice on my headset. All other sounds move, but not the Accu-Feel sounds.

-M.
