I posted this over at SOH, but, I just recently joined the A2A owners club with the accusim Spitfire. Great work, by the way! I was having a blast flying and enjoying the scenery the other night, and I decided to knock out a few commercial steep turns, and was immersed in the realism of the flight dynamics that as I came around to the start heading of my turn I fully expected to hit my own wake/prop wash as happens in in real life, and didn't. I know this isn't modeled, however, is this a possibility? To have some kind of persistent/semi-quickly decaying air mass turbulence from prop wash/ jet blast? Not even sure this is possible? Maybe some kind of horizontal thermal effect or something like that? Just curious. I know this would be one of those items that completes the realism immersion for me...other than the feeling in the seat! :)

This is possible, but it is one of those rather expensive effects that would only be experienced by a tiny fraction of the customers. So this kind of feature / wish tends to almost always be pushed out by another new feature that takes priority.

I did put it in our offline list btw so thanks for the suggestion.

Scott.

Thanks for the reply Scott! I was thinking that even if the general population of simmers didn't perform steep turns to PTS standards that the effect could still be used to simulate wake turbulence of larger aircraft taking off and landing...this way pilots would have to practice good ground handling technique not just skill in the air. However, at least it's made it to your offline list! I'm very impressed with your work and look fwd to the Mustang release with anticipation! As a rl pilot, you did it right! Great job!
