A strong fall in FPS

Post by BMW969 »

I experience an unacceptably low FPS drop. What is the problem with the processing of smoke.
What could be the cause? Any ideas?

Hello,

can you please confirm you are using the P3Dv4 version of the Mustang and that it is all updated. Also can you let us know if you are running high settings for your smoke, as this will easily cause the issue you are seeing when the scene is being asked to display a lot of smoke emitters.

Can you also please check your smoke key is not triggered, by default this is set to I key.

thanks,

This is some kind of horror! The first plane with which nothing is possible to do.
Why does he fall? I have already made a reinstall. The wheel develops.

Hello,

can you let us know how you are loading the aircraft?
(You should always load a default aircraft first before loading a complex simulation)

Are you familiar with our simulations, have you read the manual?

How is the aircraft in the hangar?

thanks,

First, I load the default scene. F-22 Raptor in Valparaiso airport. Then i choose P51D. The plane is loading and falling((

There was a folder A2A in Documents. I deleted this strange folder. The plane stopped falling and the braking smoke had disappeared. What was it?

After each plane crash created a log file in C:\Users\.......\Documents\A2A\FSX\P51civ
After reloading the flight, the file is loaded and I get a broken plane at the start! Why did they do it?
After deleting the log, the plane is healthy again.

I hope you two don’t mind, but I can definitely reproduce this by pressing the “I” key. Smoke envelopes the aircraft, FPS drops dramatically. Pressing the “I” key again clears it all up, FPS back to normal. This is on P3Dv4.4.

I do not use the smoke and "I" key )) The whole mystery is in the folder I mentioned above. When I delete that folder, the problems disappear.

You’ve never mentioned the name of the folder you deleted? Was it P51?

On my system its: documents/A2A/FSX/P51. Inside that are .dat files which pertain to the persistent state of your aircraft...ie its condition, broken items, hours, etc.
sometimes the file gets corrupted and strange issues like you describe develop. Its okay to delete the folder, a new one will be created in its place the next time you run the P51.

Or you can save the file and just
delete the .dat files inside

For me, it is strange that the plane is not recovering from a crash after reloading the scene. I have to resort to manual removal v2_P51civLog.dat
What is the point to load the plane with breakdowns? There are no workshops at the airport

Damage caused by crashing the aircraft is persistent, you need to repair items that are broken or they stay broken.

Have you tried exploring the different menus found by pressing shift+2 through shift+7?

Also, have you done a careful read of the manual?

users/ Documents/Prepar3d3Dv4 Add-ons/ A2A/ A2A/P51/

This is a very enjoyable but also challenging aircraft, so a quick read to familiarize yourself will really be of help when it comes to flying the aircraft successfully!

I am only at the beginning of the journey. Bought a plane today. Thanks for the tips, I'll go read the manual.)

Yes, please re-read my first posts. It does sound like you have a failed load and the I smoke key was active.

The manual is under your start menu > all programs > A2A Simulations

I would suggest a re-install though as you have deleted some of the software by deleting its folders hehe.

Any further questions just ask, remember its a professional level simulation so its quite different the default relaxed realism aircraft.
