Re: Accu-Sim P-51 Screenshots
So... When do we get an Accu-Sim app that allows us to control all the Accu-Sim functionality from a mobile device via a wireless connection, then, Lewis? Rob?
Merging "off-topic" with "Mustangs", however, I need to find out why I'm so flippin' slow in my simulated FR500S. 8 seconds a lap off pole time at Watkins Glen is going to make for a very lonesome race, until they all come back around to lap me occasionally.
I also need to dig out the post with the other (P-51D) Mustang bases that someone wanted me to put together in FSX, unless anyone reading this can remember which one it was?
Ian P,

The sun shade is a real nice effect! The detail goes on and on...
I flew a route to Bellingham last night and got to play with all the night lighting effects. Wonderful rendition!!

i5-2600K SB, 8GB Mushkin Redline, ASUS P8Z68-V Pro, GTX 560 2GB, Saitek X52. Etch-A-Sketch hard wired to Speak-N-Spell backup system. Everything maxed and I see it ALL!
Re: Accu-Sim P-51 Screenshots
All the screencaps are of specular highlight / semi-gloss paints. There used to be a mirror-shining model of P-51D that has made it's appearance in some of the early development videos. Are there mirror-shine paints for the craft, in the condition of the product as it was released? Because Spitfire and P-40 don't support mirroring (even for unofficial repaints) (I think the mirror effect must be enabled on the 3D model level, thus just playing with the bitmaps cannot create mirror effect on a plane that doesn't support it) and seeing all these screencaps to be of specular highlight / medium gloss / semi-matte finish...
I haven't yet bought P-51 but I no doubt will, regardless whether it has any mirroring skins or capability to support mirrored repaints. Some other forumers might care more... I actually consider the act of polishing warbirds (even the real ones) to mirror finish a rather silly thing to do. It's like fitting ultra-low-profile tires and aluminum wheels to a '50 Cadillac.
Anyway, if there's a polished aluminum skin that comes with P-51D, I'd like to see a screencap of it.
And some off-topic note:

And some off-topic note:
You do know Thomas Jefferson would turn in his grave if he heard that overused "patriotic" phrase of "GOD BLESS AMERICA". It really requires quotation marks to point out the irony because there's nothing really as un-patriotic as it is to spit on the Constitution and separation of Church and State.pjc747 wrote:IN HONOR OF THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES.
