Re: Repaint: Bunnie at the San Diego Air & Space Museum
North American P-51D Mustang, serno 44-15569, "Bunnie", 100th FS, 332nd FG, 15th AF, famed Red Tails squadron of the Tuskegee airmen WWII.
This is a revised repaint that is more closer to the WWII photos of "Bunnie". It has a wider red area in the nose, slightly different letter styles for "Bunnie" & "Miss Kentucky State", and thicker "7" number. I also added some weathering effects and moved the front Ram Air Grille a little higher in the bump/texture maps.
Download available at the updated link in the first message of this thread, above.

Awesome! Any plans on releasing the other two repaints seen in the second screenshot?

The Mustang with the red stripes on the tail is a repaint of "February", MX-I, 31st FG, civilian version, registry N351MX. It was painted to the likeness of the very inspirational and beautiful P-51D Mustang owned and operated by the Friedkin Texas Air Force. Repaint download is available.Lufthansa 380 wrote:Awesome! For the checkertail Mustang, my repaint attempt of "Double Nuts", 00, 325th FG checkertail is back in rework. It needs a correction to the checkertail pattern's angle, and it's noticeable when compared to an old photo image of "Double Nuts". This airplane is also known as "Boo-Man Choo", and there are excellent repaints from others that are available for that version.
