Heya Accusim lovers!
Watched a few vids on the P-51 and I'm really itching to pick it up, but unfortunately I no longer have FSX and I've heard some horror stories with regard to P3D...can anyone report if it seems to function with the latest beta?
Any reports regarding P3D2.2?

Yes, the P-51 installs and runs fine in v2.2. As do the other Accusim aircraft I have installed. As long as you copy the Prepar3D.exe and then rename it to fsx.exe. You then have to direct all your installers to your Prepar3D root folder, instead of the FSX folder, the Accusim and update packs also. The only exception I have found so far, is the latest core update. v1.6 gives you the choice of installing to your FSX or P3D v2 folder.
One tip. You may have to disable the "Hide extensions for known file types" in the folder options, so you can see the .exe part of the file name. Here's some cropped but unedited pictures as proof.
A default paint scheme...
...and a custom one.
All the best.

Also you need the fsx sim connect file to be installed for accusim to work otherwise the plane will be broken in accusim. I installed sp2's version. The installer comes in the redist directory of your p3d install.

Hi nullack,
I didn't do anything special with the SimConnect.msi in the FSX-SP2-XPACK folder. Does it get installed automatically, or is it perhaps because I still have it working in FSX originally?

I just copied my fsx.exe into P3D folder and installed p-51 and b-17. Both seem to be working perfectly
Re: Any reports regarding P3D2.2?
Precisely, its the latter, you already have the library. Its not auto installed by P3DV2.2bladerunner900 wrote:Hi nullack,

Did notice one problem! ATC keeps referring to me as "Air Force 0", not with my tail number as in FSX... Anyone else have this happen?

Ah! Good to know. I'll have to keep that in mind if I ever remove FSX, or install on a system without it.nullack wrote:Precisely, its the latter, you already have the library. Its not auto installed by P3DV2.2
Thanks for the info.
Steve.
Ps.
I notice that Google Earth links in to P3D as well. It reports that FSX has started and then works as normal.

Re: Any reports regarding P3D2.2?
Awesome, thanks guys. I did pick it up and it does seem to work short of a few quirks which I will enumerate for the record:
Standard problem with beacon light not working
Small sound bugs, some shared with the C172: Will sometimes play inappropriate engine sounds in external view (IE, high RPM when engine is at idle, radiator whine when at rest).
Also shared with the 172, certain panel states are not persistent upon reloading the A/C, even with auto-C&D deactivated.
None of those significantly detract from my experience, though, just thought I'd dump them here in case A2A wants to investigate.
