Purchasing and File Version/Disk Bak.

Hello,

Does anyone know if more than one version of the P-51 Civilian/Military and P-51 Accu-Sim was released? If I buy from either http://www.pcaviator.com or http://www.fspilotshop.com, do they sell the latest version of these products (and any patches on the disk masters)? If I buy from one of those two companies, in the event of disk loss, can I download the plane with proof of purchase, from A2A? Does A2A offer disk backups? Same questions for the C172 Trainer.

Hi Erik,

All A2A Accu-Sim birds are the original release versions. For the Spitfire, P-40 P-51 (Mil & Civ), C-172 and Cherokee a single download - Accu-Sim core update - will update all to the latest version.

IIRC, A2A no longer offers backup discs. I burn my own including the updates.

I always buy directly from A2A. They are a quality company and that makes updating and customer service simple.

For various reasons I need to buy from a company with a labeled disk backup. I contacted http://www.fspilotshop.com and asked them if they have sell the latest version and if they include patches. They indicated they have the latest version, and they seemed to indicate that they have any patches A2A provided. If anyone knows, and this is important to me, did A2A provide http://www.fspilotshop.com and http://www.pcaviator.com with the latest patch? I ask on here because A2A does not have a formal e-mail support they prefer to communicate on.

the Accu-sim core update is not included in those products and can be found here;

We stopped disc backup options when the admin for it was taking up days not hours and we realized that 99.9% of PC's purchased within the last decade came with disc writers and more importantly USB slots for users to perform backups as they desire.
