I've been working on the electronics, or at least trying to figure out how the components will connect to the controls. "Try" being the key word here. :?

So today I put a few components together to test fit the electronics and I grabbed a few shots. Maybe a few "shots" of something else would help!!
Sometimes this project is overwhelming and I have to put a some parts together to convince myself I am making progress. Or at least fool myself that I am........

Thanks for looking
Ed

Your work is fantastic. In fact I've never seen better, especially the wood working.
When this is finished I won't be able to tell it from the real cockpit.

Just finished reading and wow, simply blown away by your work. You sir are a humble master of your craft and like Mr. Henriques said "your work is fantastic".

Looking forward to seeing this progress. :D

**edit Had to throw this in there real quick.. The first thing I saw in this thread was the post above this one and wasn't sure what I was looking at, but thought those molded black plastic knobs/thingamabobs are cool, I wonder where he got those! Then to see it all from the beginning was very cool indeed. Anyway I'll stop geeking out over this now.

Hi guys

Well, time for another update. I’ve been working on the flaps and carb air controls and finally got all of the levers connected to sliders giving me 0-100% readings. For a while I thought I was creating book II in this series but I figured out the connections.

Thanks for looking
Ed

Wow. That console alone looks like a massive amount of work! I would not have the necessary patience to build something like that. It looks amazing. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Hello everyone

Well, the temperatures and humidity are starting to drop here in Florida so its getting more comfortable in the shop. Even with a portable AC unit in there when temps and humidity both hit the 90's getting a full day is difficult.

Here are the latest pics.

Take care
Ed

This is unbelievable work ! I can't get over the combination of craftsmanship, engineering, and fabrication involved in what you are accomplishing here.
I don't believe I've ever seen anything better in these fields.
This will be SOME cockpit when it's done.
