mini control aux hydraulic pump

guys read manual still confused when should the aux hyd pump be on and where is it located in cockpit of the 51 is it

I am far, far from my sim computer right now so I can't double-check this
but I THINK that is only used when the aircraft is on jacks to operate
things like the gear when the engine is not operating and supplying
'normal' hydraulic pressure.

Also, I believe it is only able to be operated from the Controls 2D
window. I don't recall anything in te cockpit to activate this.

Disclaimer: My memory isn't what it used to be so I could be wrong here :)

yea used it to work my flaps after repair made sure red lever was in but it appears like you said on 2d panel which makes me think its used by mechanics

Only works in the 2D menu. Not part of standard P51 equipment. No cockpit activation or control. Used when normal hydraulic pump can not be used. Normal hydraulic pump is operational when engine is running.

I found it sometimes useful after a crash to extend the landing gear when they could not extend fully to lift the plane back to the correct position which would then allow the engine to start. Also useful for testing hydraulic items when engine is not running. Otherwise the normal engine powered hydraulic pump would be properly used for these functions.
