Re: Iridescent repaint in the works
Thanks guys!
Did more work this morning on her... Took out some of the copper look (had to much), blended a bit more paint to show more of the Iridescent/pearl essence/whatever you want to call this paint LMAO since unfortunately it can not be painted to look like a real iridescent paint job,... buffed out the paint a bit with a Milwaukee high speed buffer lol, (all night long). Worked on the prop blades (multi hue effects and leading edge wear), incorporated the polished wheel wells from my *Black Magic* repaint and the cockpit interior from my Race #5 which is part of the our FASA Race Package uploaded by our member fsxar177
Have a lot more to do folks so patients is the virtue here!. I can get close to what I'm looking for in this paint but not exact so it'll have to do for now. I'll also be producing a video of the aircraft rotating for display viewing of her colors.
Enjoy the pics.

Hey Alan, looking great
Question on the canopy........I know you've said the inside out tinting was causing issues...I've only just messed with the alpha layers just a bit, but that tint on a canopy would resemble amber driving glasses to a degree, so could possibly a barely perceptible tint with an adjustment to the gamma levels for clarity work? Just throwing out ideas as I have seen the blue/green tint done with some success......looking forward to taking her for a spin

Re: Iridescent repaint in the works
Yeah not sure if that will work but I'll go back to the original process I did before on the first canopy (interior color) and see if I can get it to work when the lighting comes on but to be honest... I don't think it's going to work as I tried a bunch of stuff before with that. Also it has nothing to do with the alphas if that's what you were thinking. When I did have that canopy tinted on the inside it did nothing for better viewing like the sun glasses do or like the amber shooting glasses where it made everything appear better... it just tinted everything outside yellow and thats it.

Re: Iridescent repaint in the works
as you see in the pic below on the other canopy I've been talking about... there is just a small amount of tint which I had to keep it very low because just this small amount of tint made it almost a solid blanket over the canopy when *any* lighting was turned on.

Outstanding job of tackling something new, pretty impressive looking paint job, top quality! Not to mention that this is one I can probably afford too.
Take care, Brett

Thanks Jeep! actually I don't know if you'll be able to afford this one or not.

Installed my custom exhaust I used when I made SCAT VI a while back. Took the exhaust from a picture of a real mustang and incorporated it into the models.
