sorry for an obvious question. i would love to have read the p51d manual before coming here and asking questions. the thing is a2a mustang did not come with one. it only comes with accu-sim/feel manuals, none that i could find for the actual aircraft. from other sims, i know that pulling back the stick will lock the rear wheel.
Does pulling back the stick in a2a p51d lock the rear wheel, or do i need to assign a seperate key for that in FSX settings? many thanks.
locking the rear wheel brake..

Re: locking the rear wheel brake..
During ground taxi in the P-51, by pushing the flight control stick forward towards the panel this action unlocks the tail wheel and allows for a full 360 degree pivot. Pulling the stick aft or towards the pilot (you) and taxing in a straight line (allowing the tail wheel to straighten itself) will lock the tail wheel and prevent a 360 degree swivel. Hope this helps!

Re: locking the rear wheel brake..
The P-51 tail wheel does NOT lock. Pushing the stick forward places it in a free-castoring state.
Pulling the stick back briefly puts in into a limited castoring state. I forget the actual numbers but I believe
it is somewhere around 6 degrees.
Somewhere in the forums here Dudley addresses this topic and gives the range number.
