Normal Landings (for Dudley)

Arguably the finest fighter aircraft of World War II.

Thanks to all and especially Dudley for the landing tips. I still can't get my rate of descent right and keep experiencing that mean bounce at touch down...guess it comes with practice.

The best thing I did to finally start sussing out good vs. bad technique in the P-51 was to just stay in the pattern and do touch and go's for, what must have been, a couple of hours. I still do that if I haven't flown the P-51 or P-47 or Spitfire for a while. It can be frustrating at first, but it gets really enjoyable as the pieces start to fall in place. Time passes quickly then!
