As I mentioned in another thread I've been flying in FSX since it first came out but had been out of it for quite a while, and I discovered A2A last fall when looking for something else. The Mustang is the latest plane in my hangar and I was really excited to see KWITCHERBITCHIN was one of the included schemes. I built this model for my father in law a few years ago just after he painted Tom Duffy's plane in these markings. Needless to say my A2A KWITCHERBITCHIN has been flown 99% of the time when I'm flying the Mustang.
I only get a couple hours to fly a couple days a week but last week I embarked on a trip around the world in my Mustang. I started at my home airport in Indiana and landed in Greenland a few hours ago after a fuel stop in Maine. Hopefully I'll get to fly another leg tomorrow; loving the Mustang!

Re: Kwitchertichin!
Sorry, somehow I missed the replies.
The stripes are decals, Microscale has a set for this scheme. The stripes were eight decals in total, it was a little nerve racking.

Re: Kwitchertichin!
I started a round-the-world trip but I got bored over the emptyness of Sibera. Made it all the way from NH, across the USA, up through Northwest Canada, then over the Bearing Sea.
That was in the A2A'a Wings of Power 2 Mustang, and I had GPS/Autopilot in it.
Was thinking about continuing the quest!
How have you been navigating in the MIL mustang? Just using Shift-5?

Ive flown a few trips during my RTW trip in the Mustang, the map is ideal for it.

Yes, I've been using the shift+F5 map to navigate. No real plan, just fly in the direction I know I need to go based on a rough range estimate and setting course on a rough guess. If I have time to fly tonight I'll be landing in Iceland and then I'll decide where to go from there.

Re: Kwitchertichin!
I really enjoy flying the A2A P-51 "Kwitcherbitchin". Is this suppose to be the same P-51 as "Kwitchertichin"? I notice the model name is not the same as the title of this post.

Re: Kwitcherbitchin!
I mentioned this a looong time ago, but heard nothing but crickets... if any painters wanted to add the better nose art and striped tail to A2A's "Kwitcherbitchin" to bring her in line with Tom Duffy's version, it would be much appreciated! I can supply some pretty hi def photos if needed!
That is a fantastic model, btw, you totally nailed it!
