Re: IFR flight planning.
Here are a couple of links to excellent flight planning setups:
http://www.ehow.com/how_7820243_use-fli ... r-fsx.html
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYCrDMHP5y4
The youtube video will show you how to use the flight plan for your flight.
There are so many more options available, but this is a great way to use the flight planner in the flight simulator.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Jim

I think Plan-G is what you want. It's freeware:http://www.tasoftware.co.uk/

Hi minibikerider,
I agree with Thomas. I've been using Plan-G for years - it is great for both IFR and VFR. Create a plan and print it out, it will have all the VOR and NDB frequencies and Morse code idenitifers.

Re: IFR flight planning.
Hi, minibikerider,
When you create a flight plan in the program, once you launch the flight, you can pull up the NavLog and view the VOR identifier and it's frequency. Very simple.
Plus, when you create the flight plan prior to flying, you can print out your VOR to VOR flight plan and have it in front of you.
It's kind of complicating to use at first, like any flight planning program. But once you have worked with it a couple of times, you will see how easy it is to create and use a flight plan in either FSX or P3D.
The links I gave you are for how to use the flight planner in either FSX or P3D. Both do a great job of helping you to create and use a VOR to VOR flight plan.
Here is another great link for using the flight planner in FSX or P3D: http://guides.gamepressure.com/flightsi ... sp?ID=1998
As you can see from the example flight plan, GRU 114.60 VOR is how it is shown in the FSX and P3D flight planner. Just follow the step by step instructions and you will be off and running.
You do not have to use the GPS at all to fly using the VOR to VOR flight planning.
Cheers,
Jim
