Thank you once more Killratio !
But I got the info from Sahaj that he will offer diverse accessories for the warthog with the extensions, including the necessary accessories to render the stick with its extensions more resistant.
So I will just wait!

Ah Francesco, good to hear about the joystick!

Yes, sorry I had dramas with my photobucket account and everything I posted on every forum disappeared. I will try to get some back up at some stage (but no promises... about 600 photos on 7 or 8 different Fora )

Got my 20cm extension yesterday, it changes for me the flying, being not an expert I had trouble keeping the plane on the runway when taking off, with the extension it was a piece of cake! I will just need the new springs to get it stiffer, for me it will be the easiest way to correct this, being myself not gifted to craft stuff myself as a lot of you do!
But now I have to get rid of my office chair to find a seat coming closer to the real thing, If anyone has an address or suggestion where to get this kind of accessory he is welcomed!
As always thanks in advance!

Hi Francesco

I'm not sure what is available regarding a seat in your country but there are options. In my pit I have a seat from a Mazda Miata that I got at a good price from a wrecking yard. It is tall with a wrap around design. It reclines and has the seat track allowing adjustment for comfort.

There are real racing seats and those made just for simming. For seat adjustment back and forward you could make a simple wood track or use drawer slides with a metal pin to lock it in place. Just use your favorite search tool.

I hope this helps.

Yes, I think I will work with wood, the idea of changing seat came up now that I have a stick aproaching the real length and I noticed that my office chair is much too high, also my desk....that means changing everything and having to negotiate with my wife, but being near retirement I have time to look forward!

Yes, retirement is a wonderful thing.

I sent my reply this morning while standing in women's clothes. Well, not IN women's clothes but in the women's clothes department while shopping with my wife.

5 hours later we are back home out of energy and money!

Take care

Well, in this kind of situation you need a good amount of imagination to be able to escape your physical location and take off and fly with your mind, but still be able to quickly give your opinion about an unexpected question concerning a dress she is trying...

LMAO! So many times in that situation, on finals and through the door just hear, 'how'd I look in this?'

I would go for a automobile bucket seat. Shop the wrecking yards for a decent price on a seat from a quality vehicle. It will be cheaper than a racing seat and much more durable, comfortable and adjustable. Go for the front passenger seat if you can as it will have less wear and less likely to be a power seat. You can adjust the height to your liking when you build the mounting base. I used 4 by lumber stacked to give me the height I wanted and then covered the base with carpet. My seat has been in service for close to ten years and was originaly from a 80s vintage Nissan Maxima. It looks as good as the day I installed it, I would call that quality.

I agree with dvm, a car seat will be more comfortable for long flights and less costly. When I was racing in a league I would be in my seat 3-4 hours at a time. Comfort is key.

Here is a picture of my seat during my race sim build. I hope this helps.

Yes, a car seat seems the best road to go, especially with some kind of wooden simpit like your last picture. Having started just with looking for a more real-life length stick I am now on the slippery road of a simpit, and negotiating some place in the appartment will mostl likely be the most time-consuming process...

And BTW, flying with the 20cm extension on the stick is a pleasure, now already a few hours this wk!
And thanks for all your suggestions!
