Persistent right-wing banking?

Post by francesco.doenz »

Strange, my AC constantly wants to turn right, checked the tanks, right and left wing tanks with same amount of fuel, no trims, no autopilot...if I take another vehicle I do not have this problem ?
What could I forget?

Hi,

Since the wing tanks and all trims are fine, check the hanger "Shift-7" it might be and aileron problem or malfunctioning flap.

P.S. Check if you have the latest A2A update:

Checked the updates, all are ok, checked hangar, beautiful shape, and from outside view when flying everything seems ok! And the stick is calibrated, and as I said with other aircrafts no problem.
Will look into it this afternoon and let you know!
Thanks for your input!

Hi Francesco,

just to add. Another community member had a similar problem with his Spitfire. The plane would roll considerably to the left. The culprit turned out to be that he had his default flight set with the Spitfire and not a FSX stock aircraft. Is there any chance you have the Mustang or another complex addon aircraft set as the default plane via the FSX standard flight?

The other thread is here. It has a lot of trouble shooting in it. You might want to read through it and see if some of the stuff applies to you and if it might fix it.

Possible issues identified in the other thread:

1. An issue caused due to loading the simulation
2. A control conflict (did you by any chance set up a control for aileron or rudder trim either in the A2A configurator or FSUIPC or the host sim itself?)
3. Update (which you already ran)
4. Fuel imbalance (which you don't have)

Hope this helps.

Well I'm glad it worked!

I think it has something to do with the way the simulation loads. I'm not sure though. Maybe Lewis or Scott can shed some light on the issue?!

Happy flying

To add, I experienced something similar with my Skylane ... a slight but noticeable tilt of the aileron to the left. Complete overhaul or calibration in Windows didn't do the trick. Using the new controls calibration tool in the Settings page of P3Dv3, I fixed the problem after calibration.

Yes you should never use a complex aircraft as the default flight due to issues such as this, and yes its to do with the way the aircraft loads. Ive personally never change my default flight from the trike at friday harbour and enjoy trouble free simming :)

thanks,
Lewis
